Cinnamon
Some dogs need a little extra guidance when they come to TLC to find their furever homes. Cinnamon was one such pooch.
Coming off transport, she was as terrified as can be. She found some comfort in the lap of one of our volunteers while waiting her foster family to pick her up. Once home though, her fosters realized that Cinnamon needed a confident four-legged sibling to help her build some bravery, so she moved to a home with an environment that was more tailored to her needs.
With the new fosters, the resident dogs were able to show her that humans aren’t all that bad. She gained courage, while mastering playing with reckless abandon and perfecting the art of napping. When it was time to put her newfound skills to the test, she moved to a third foster family.
It did take her some time, but she warmed up to this new environment and her faith in herself began to build even more. She was finally starting to be a dog again.
Then she met the family that hoped to adopt her. With another pup in the house and two human siblings, she will continue to grow and build on her newfound spirit. She instantly clicked with her new fur-friend and quickly became comfortable enough to snuggle with her humans.
Cinnamon’s new family took a chance on a dog that needed a little extra time and patience, but once she settled in, she proved to be just as sweet as her milk chocolate eyes.
