TLC Events

Events are one of our favorite things at TLC Rescue. As an organization that relies entirely on foster homes for our dogs, we do not have a facility where potential adopters can go visit multiple dogs.

We rely on our events for a variety of things including helping our foster dogs get seen and adopted, socialization for our dogs, engaging with the community, education about dogs and dog rescue, fundraising, and most importantly, to have fun!

4 counties

TLC holds events in Chester, Montgomery, Delaware, and Philly counties to expose our dogs to more potential families!

Neighborhood

TLC holds events at breweries, farmer markets, fairs, and local community events!

Dine & Donates

Restaurants all over host Dine & Donates to benefit TLC

Pet Supply Stores

PetSmart, Pet Supplies Plus, Ultimate Doggie Destination, and more for easy access for potential adopters!

Types of Events

Meet and Greets

Nearly every weekend, you will find our team showing off our adorable adoptables at neighborhood pet stores, local breweries, and many other places who welcome our dogs. Everyone is welcome to cuddle a puppy, give head scratches to our seniors, or hang out and learn more about any of our available dogs & our organization.

Provides beneficial socialization as our dogs meet many different types of people in our community.

Provides opportunities for our dog’s to meet their potential forever families and potential adopters to meet multiple dogs in a short period of time.

Allows more in our community to learn about our organization, volunteer opportunities and our adoption process.

Community Events

We love to bring our dogs out and about in our community to schools, retirement homes, corporate events, and more to spread puppy joy. Every one needs a break during the day and what better to help reduce stress or boredom than a puppy break?

Fundraiser Events

As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, we rely heavily on our fundraisers to allow us to keep saving dogs all year long. We use these funds to commit to new dogs in need, cover vet bills for their health and wellness, as well as all of our fosters’ supplies.

Miles for Mutts

Every October, we host a 5k run / 1 mile walk that is dog and family friendly! It’s one of our biggest fundraisers of the year and an absolute blast!

Raffles for Ruffs

Every April, we host a virtual basket raffle with hundreds of prizes and a broadcast that’s watch party worthy! It’s one of our largest fundraisers of the year and you might just win some incredible prizes along the way!

PuppyPalooza

The name says it all! June marks our birthday month, and what better way to celebrate than with games, food, and PUPPIES! Whether you’re thinking of adopting or just in need of some puppy snuggles, PuppyPalooza is a whole lot of fun!

Dine & Donate

What’s better than great food that gives back! We often partner with local restaurants for Dine & Donate events where you grab a meal with friends & family, and a portion of the sales is donated to help support our dogs in need.

  • Events are a great place to meet a variety of our dogs, from puppies to seniors, from outgoing to a little more shy, from couch potatoes to adventure buddies!

As an entirely foster based organization, events are the best way to meet multiple dogs if you’re unsure about which dog might be the best fit for your family.

It is also a great place to learn more about our organization, where our dogs come from, and our adoption process.

  • All adoptions must happen at our adoption center in Malvern, PA.

The first step towards adopting a dog is submitting an application for approval. New applications are typically processed in 3 - 7 business days. The application is free and valid for one year.

If you are already approved and meet your perfect match at an event, we can usually schedule an appointment for the same day. If we’re unable to do an appointment the same day, simply reply to your approval email to schedule!

  • Most of our meet and greet locations are dog friendly. We love seeing our TLC Alumni!

However, events are not conducive environments for productive dog meets for potential adoptions due to the hectic nature of the crowds and variety of animals. If you’re considering adoption, please set up an adoption appointment to allow for proper dog introductions that provide a higher degree of confidence.

  • We do not hold dogs for any reason. Due to the nature of a foster based rescue, holding on to dogs limits our resources to aid more dogs and may also cause them to miss out on the perfect home.

  • Absolutely! We welcome a variety of volunteers. Our events always need handlers, photographers, greeters, and leads. Learn more about our volunteer opportunities or apply here.

  • The dogs attending each event are posted on our social media pages the day prior to the event. Be sure to follow us on Facebook & Instagram to know the line up!

  • As a 100% foster based organization, the dogs attending each event depends on the location and schedule of each individual foster. If the dog you’d like to meet isn’t attending the event, you can set up an adoption appointment to meet & adopt the dog you’ve fallen in love with (once you’ve applied and been approved!)

  • We love partnering with new business & organizations! Please reach out to events@TLCrescuePA.com to learn more!
