Happy St. Patrick’s Day & Happy National Pet Month!

While National Puppy Day is celebrated on one particular day in March, we at TLC Rescue celebrate them year round!  Moana and her puppies are just one of the many litters born in TLC’s care.  We have seen first hand why the shelter is no place for a newborn litter.  They run the risk of disease, additional stress, a stressed out mom & so much more.  We know how important those first few weeks of socialization are for puppies and want them to be spent in a loving foster home where both Mom and her little ones will be waited on, cared for and loved unconditionally.

Like all things at TLC, we do not discriminate.  From single pup litters to litters of a dozen to chihuahuas to labs to cattle dogs, we love PUPPIES!

Moana arrived at TLC after being found as a stray in Mississippi.  She moved into her foster home, nested and gave birth all within 24 hours of arrival.  We like to think she knew she was finally safe, and we’re all relieved she waited until she was in our care to have her 4 beautiful puppies.,Moana’s puppies were named Ohana, Te’ka, Maui and Hei Hei, each after a Hawaiian island.  Once the puppies are born, they remain with their foster family for 8 weeks until they’ve grown, been properly weaned from their mom, and been vaccinated enough to ensure a healthy start.
