Happy Independence Day & National Dog Photography Day

Nothing says freedom more than two dogs being freed from the basement of an abandoned home locally in PA. Boris and his brother were seized and brought to the local SPCA. Friends at the shelter knew TLC’s love for big dogs, especially Great Pyrenees, and reached out for help. Shortly thereafter, both dogs became TLC pups and were on their way to a better future.

Given the combination of his history and his breed(s), it is safe to say Boris had his quirks. Boris was searching for a specific family who would not only work with his quirks, but embrace them!

This handsome boy spent 6 months in a boarding facility until a ‘big dog’ foster home opened up for him. After that, Boris spent the next 10 months in his loving foster home enjoying many couch naps, playing with his other TLC foster siblings and celebrating with them when they found their furever homes. Even though it took 458 days for Boris, and most people (and dogs) would get discouraged, we never gave up hope and never stopped searching to find him that perfect furever home. Then, on September 4th, 2020 Boris hit the jack-pot - he had finally found his furever family!

From an abandoned basement, to a shelter, to foster care, and finally to a furever home of his very own, Boris & TLC never gave up hope. Cheers to a well deserved happy life sweet boy. As much as TLC will miss your face and goofy personality, we are all so happy for you and your new family.

We mean it when we say “Until they all have a home…”
