Happy New Year & Happy Unchain a Dog Month!

Road Trip Destination: Downtown Phoenixville

It’s officially 2022, and this month, we celebrate Unchain a Dog day. For Apollo, this holiday is quite literal. Apollo was found tied to a tree in Mississippi, clearly neglected, abandoned and severely emaciated. When we saw Apollo’s picture, we had to say “yes!” to the opportunity to give this dog a better life that he ever imagined. The good samaritan in Mississippi who found him nursed him back to health, so he was well enough to travel to Pennsylvania. He arrived at TLC Rescue on January 16th, 2021.

After about 2 weeks in foster care, he found the perfect humans to call his forever family and he’s never been happier. Apollo enjoyed a glamorous afternoon photoshoot around downtown Phoenixville, clearly enjoying everything his new life has to offer.

While it hurts our hearts that any dogs are ever chained to anything, we will celebrate the freedom, the rescuer, and the happiness that brought Apollo to his happily ever after.
