We are beyond thrilled to share a monumental moment in our journey of saving lives and finding forever homes... our 7,000th adoption!

Each of these adoptions represents a life saved, a heart healed, and a family completed. But this particular milestone is extra special because our 7,000th adoptee is none other than our beloved longest resident, Heidi.

Heidi, a resilient German Shepherd, has had a tough start in life. She arrived at our rescue around one year old, having already had several homes in that time.

Her journey was fraught with uncertainty and instability, and she was rescued just in time before being put up on sale sites for free. Over the course of the last two and half years, Heidi has shown incredible patience and perseverance undergoing heartworm treatment and extensive training to help her become her best self. After 978 days of waiting, Heidi has finally found her perfect people!

Heidi's story is a testament to our belief that there are indeed perfect matches for every dog. Her journey, filled with challenges and triumphs, has led her to a fairy tale ending with a loving family who is just right for her.

Reaching the milestone of 7,000 adoptions is not just a number—it's 7,000 lives saved from abandonment, 7,000 hearts rescued from the brink of despair, and 7,000 souls spared from the dreaded put-to-sleep list. Each adoption means a dog has been given a second chance, a tomorrow filled with love, joy, and the warmth of a forever family.
