Sweet Freedom

THE BEST NEWS…I’M FREE!

On Monday morning, I saw my favorite doctor friend for my one-month post-surgery check up. She was just as excited to see me as I was her! She was VERY pleased with how I was doing. But the best news… I don’t have to do this silly ‘rest’ thing anymore! She says I can build back up to normal playtime in about 2-3 weeks. I’m a little sad though because my favorite doctor friend says she doesn’t need to see me back again… I’m going to miss her! My foster mom says that’s good news though. I will be forever grateful to her for making me realize how amazing I can feel.  No more white hot pain, I didn’t know it was possible to live without it and I feel the best I ever have!

It’s been a busy week and I’ve been taking FULL advantage of my freedom. On Tuesday afternoon, it was raining like crazy, so my foster mom took me to some big store to walk around. I got to meet so many new friends and see so many things! Everything smelled so good!

Oh!  And I no longer have to take any medications, too!

Once it stopped raining on Wednesday, I ran around with my foster mom in the backyard and borked so loud to let everyone know I was there! Now that I don’t have to wear a leash in the yard, I can finally do a full perimeter check to keep an eye on the neighborhood!  I made sure to inspect the entire perimeter of our yard to make sure everyone was safe. After all, I am a great pyrenees!

In addition to chasing the white floofy thing on my back, I now can finally scratch that itch on my back by rolling around on the ground. I enjoy jumping and running even more than I did before this whole ‘rest’ thing. I could run & hop forever! I can’t wait to see what else I can do!
