It’s been about 2 weeks since my surgery, and I’m loving all the attention! Last Thursday, I got to see my favorite doctor friend again! Everyone in the lobby said “Hi” to me and gave me so many pets. My doctor friend took more pictures of my back. She told my foster mom that the things in my back look perfect, but they look kind of silly in the pictures! Because I’m healing so well, I won’t get to see my doctor friend again for a few more weeks. That makes me a little sad, but my foster mom keeps telling me that’s good news. I’ll miss her until then!
I keep wondering how long I’m going to be told to ‘rest’ and ‘take it easy.’ I haven’t noticed the white hot pain lately, and honestly, I feel better than ever. Except that my back is still freezing! I wonder how long it will take for my hair to grow back… My foster mom takes me for short walks around the yard. I have to stay on my leash, but I really just want to RUN!
My foster mom keeps going to school visits with other foster dogs and I really miss that. I love spending time with the kids and other dogs. They’re my favorite days. Instead, I’m learning how to play with all sorts of new puzzles! They are really hard sometimes, but my secret trick is to knock them upside down until the treats fall out! Works like a charm every time, which makes my foster mom laugh. I’m feeling better than ever and don’t know how I got so lucky. Maybe by the next time I write, I’ll be a full blown movie star, or off leash in the yard, or at least a puzzle master! Wish me luck!
