When Mia and Hannah’s elderly owner could no longer care for them, their world was turned upside down. These two tiny seniors—Mia, a 9yr old, 7lb Yorkie, and Hannah, a 9yr old, 5lb Maltipoo — were not just losing their home; they were losing the only life they had ever known. 

But their story took a beautiful turn when a special adopter recognized the deep bond these two shared and made it their mission to give them the life they deserved. It takes a remarkable person to open their heart and home to not one, but two senior dogs with possible health needs and help them thrive. For this act of compassion, we are forever grateful.

Today, Mia and Hannah are living a life filled with love and joy. Despite initial concerns, both are healthy after much-needed dental care and ongoing support. Hannah, who was once suspected to have pancreatitis, is in the clear, and Mia, who was thought to have a liver shunt, is proving to be as resilient as ever. Even though Mia is mostly blind, she navigates her world beautifully and adores running. Hannah is a ray of sunshine, cheerful and happy 100% of the time, always staying within two feet of her person. Together, they are thriving, enjoying walks and relishing their second chance at life.

It’s clear that Mia and Hannah are now living their best lives—a beautiful reminder of the power of love, second chances, and the forever bonds we help create.
