OK so Mustang’s not old but just a couple of weeks post surgery, he’s starting to walk good as new & will be running soon enough. Mustang still has about a month of rehab to go but he found a family that adored him so much who thought it would be really good for his new brother & sister to participate in his rehab and home he went. Even though he now has a new last name, TLC will continue to pay for his ongoing physical therapy sessions so if you’d like to help us out with that, the link to his fundraising page is: https://tlcrescuepa.com/mustangships/
Our buddy Mustang isn’t the only one finding a home before Labor Day, Ellie (terrier pup), Ellie (beagle pup), Edward (now Jack), Corrie, Jojo, Chapel & Tammy found wonderful homes too.
We’ve already heard from Jack (FKA Edward’s family):
He is doing awesome. He and Owen are getting along great. He has slept thru the nights both nights with a dry crate. Loves his food! He even walked to the door last night to go out potty.
We decided to change his name to Jack. Just seemed to fit his personality. The only one who has some reservations is our cat Tia. But she is 17 and is just staying up high to avoid the young boy!
Thank you again for everything!
Speaking of updates, we have a bunch of them this week too!
Trudy FKA Julie
Hi TLC Friends… here’s the latest ‘pack photo’! They’re all checking out our new “toy”. Trudy met our friends Mollie and Cody (2 of the King Charles Spaniels) this weekend… we’ve been dog sitting them for years now, but Trudy hadn’t met them yet. Cody is just a puppy too – so you can imagine all the playing they did!! Tired puppies make for happy mommies! J
Bella FKA Jolie
Our family is loving Bella and I think she loves us too. She loves her doggy brother Remington and doggy cousin kleks as well as human brothers. She is a daddy’s girl and gets kissed all the time. She enjoys walks on beach and visits to grandma and grandpa as well as her daily walks on our street. In July we celebrated her 1st bday witha chicken cake :). She sleeps tucked up to mommy at night. Mommy cooks all natural meals with veggies and vitamins.
We are so lucky to have her. Am attaching new pics.
Paisley FKA Sugar
Paisley aka sugar is doing wonderfully and I couldn’t be happier!! I try to post updates to your Facebook often and have something to brag about daily with this pup. I truly found my best friend and I couldn’t thank you enough! I plan to see you in October for the dog walk and she will definitely be at my side. Can’t wait to see you all and support a good cause!! Xoxo
Life with Cocoa is awesome! Love, love, love her! She is the best dog ever! She really has brought so much joy to our lives, which were already great. We’re very happy we adopted Cocoa.
Cocoa has been through training at Pet smart and we are beginning intermediate training classes this month. She is smart as a whip and learns very quickly. We are also looking into k9 camp for occasional day care.
I’ve attached some photos. She’s up to 39 lbs. vet says her weight is perfect.
Willow FKA Bindi (mom to Paisley & Cocoa)
Willow is such a great dog. I am so glad she is part of our family. She loves everyone, 2 feet or 4 feet. She finished level one training. I plan on doing level 2 training in a few months❤️🐾
Boone FKA Harrington
Boone (formerly Harrington) is doing Great ! He weighs 60lbs and is a happy, crazy puppy 🙂 He loves digging in the paper recycling box when no one is looking and making a mess, along with stealing socks from the dirty laundry and digging as many holes in the yard as he can before getting scolded ! He has such a wonderful personality and is always so happy to greet all the dogs he sees on his walk.
Thank you for doing such a wonderful and dedicated job of rescuing these pups so they can find forever homes, we couldn’t be happier
River FKA Spots
We are doing great River formerly Spots is the sweetest boy ever. I have attached pictures of the day we got him and now. He is our little girl’s best friend and allows him to do just about anything she wants LOL.
Jack FKA Dennis
Jack (aka Dennis) is well loved. The joy he brings to each of us is invaluable.
Carly FKA Caramel
Carley is doing great! She is still fearful of men (definitely some sort of history there) but we continue to make incremental small steps forward. So glad that my husband and son have been so patient with this sweetie while we work to overcome her fears and continually reassure her.
Carley has quite a personality and really enjoys her two brothers, especially rumbling with Juke. She is definitely a Southern Belle and one of her favorite things to do is to go out on a lounge chair on the deck and sun herself while watching golfers. She is quite the sun goddess!
You guys were terrific to work with and I would love to foster or help transport dogs for you. We fostered for years at the Humane League of Lancaster County before we moved to West Chester a year ago and would love to get back into it. Please let me know if we can help out.
Piper FKA Loris
Piper is a lovely addition to our family, she currently weighs in at about 65lbs of energetic love. She’s always up for a cuddle after she runs circles around us in the back yard. I’ve had dogs my whole life, and she is by far the fastest I’ve ever seen.
We absolutely love Piper, she is a wonderful addition to our family. I have included a couple pictures. One showing off her recent fashion statement and one from when she was about 5 months and discovered the screen door. 🙂
Thank you for all your hard work brining dogs and families together. We would love to hear of any updates from Piper’s litter mates
Miles FKA Braxton
Miles is doing great. 45-50 lbs by now and think he is topping off there. Little guy… He is doing great with the kids and loves to hang out in our creek, when it has water . He also likes the cats and our “free range” bunnies that we have in the yard. All good! Hope his siblings found home too.
Chewy FKA Hari
Chewy is his name now short for Chewbacca as my boys are huge Star Wars fans. He loves, loves water, whether he’s going nuts with the hose, laying in the kids water table, swimming off the docks near our boat or some days he even gets in the pool with Daddy and the boys. He’s super energetic, smart but very strong willed and sometimes still has trouble listening to Mom and Dads rules! Lol! Here’s a a few pictures of him and if you have any of his brothers would love to see them and please feel free to share his pictures with his brothers Mom or Dad.
Just thought it was time to drop you an email with an update on Sandy. She has been with us for almost 6 months and it seems like she has been here forever. She and her big brother Smitty are the best of friends and are rarely apart. She has a crazy fun puppy side and has learned about dog toys and how much fun they can be! She has gotten over a lot of her initial fears and we are working through the remaining ones. She is currently in level two of training classes at Camp K9 and I’m hoping to continue with her training. She has the sweetest, most loving personality and my hope for her is to become a therapy dog and do nursing home and pediatric visits. She has come a long way from the timid girl who moved in, and we just love her!
Fred FKA Apollo
Hi guys! Wanted to share a picture of Fred on his first hike with us in Ridley Creek State Park and one of Henry sitting with his new buddy.
We’d like to congratulate Bailey (FKA Buttercup) & Dodger (FKA Jacoby) for graduating from training class & would like to wish you all a very safe, happy & relaxing Labor Day.
In the meantime, here are some more pics we received this week
