As we wrap up the Thanksgiving holiday week-end, we find ourselves waxing [not-so] poetic about the year we’ve had so far and how grateful we are for all of our volunteers, supporters and other organizations we partner with to help us help dogs. Most of our dogs end up in rescue despite the fact they are fabulous pups who, easily, acclimate to fit right into their lives as a family dog – some have even gone on to start training for the very special job as a service dog! Quite a few of the dogs we’ve saved this year have faced medical challenges that we’ve had treated thanks to your support, and some have had behavioral issues that we’ve been able to help them with thanks to not only the support of our trainers (Jeri Wagner & Eryn Sibley), but also with some extra support from other local trainers (including the fine folks at Canine Creature Comforts, who’ve given us some special assistance re-socializing a couple of pups). We love hearing the updates about how well they’re doing and are forever grateful for how loved they are by their furever families!
This week we have a few more adoptions to add to things we’re thankful for including the adoption of Morris & Rocky together, Bucky, Cooper, Ford, Frankie, Ichabod, Imala, Iris (now Mia), Ivan & Rizzo!
Speaking of those updates we love to hear about . . .
Jerry FKA Gerry
“Hi here are some pictures of Jerry. You used to spell it Gerry. We adopted in him August and he’s doing great. He has had many adventures and makes us all so happy! Thank you for bringing him into our lives!”
“Wanted to send you a pic or two to show you how he has settled into the house and family. He is super sweet and a joy to have around.”
Dizzi and Bella FKA Reagan
“Bella and Dizzi after a wonderful Thanksgiving meal and enjoying camping in our new trailer.
I am so thankful for their foster parents and everyone at TLC for taking care of these wonderful dogs! I am thankful we were able to adopt both dogs. We could have never chosen one over the other. Dizzi had a good day and learned to make friends with many family members. Bella hid behind the sofa or in her crate while Dizzi protected her. They were so made for each other!”
Blossom FKA Shana
“Blossom (fka ridley aka shana) on the right getting in some cuddle time with her big sister Stella . She is starting to feel right at home I do believe!”
Not too long ago Razberry was rescued after a life being used for breeding, now she’s making her local paper!
We expect to start receiving a lot of holiday updates soon and really hope to see some of you in person at our upcoming pictures with Santa event too!
