Yay for great weather showing up today because, on top of everything else that’s going on, we had a super busy day! On top of our meet & greet at the Petsmart in Downingtown, the Mini Paws held a fundraiser for Saving Southern Souls at the Frazer Rita’s Water Ice. A couple of our adorable adoptables swung by Dogtopia of Chester Springs to take a bath for a great charity, Paws With A Cause, courtesy of their buddy, Deb Murray of Pepper’s Paws so they’d look their best while
begging for water ice helping the kids raise the funds they’ll need to pay for shelter fees, transportation, spay/neuter, vaccination & other care costs for the dog they’ll be pulling from the “put to sleep” list at a southern shelter.
We, of course, also saw the start of some very happy tails this week. Sage was one of the lucky dogs to celebrate “gotcha” day this week. In addition to joining a furever family, he & his new momma will begin training with Main Line Deputy Dog so he can become a service dog. Rina, Tamara, Sarah & Ariel also moved into their furever homes this week. One of the other pups in Ariel’s first family photo may be recognizable to many of you because he is TLC alumnus Jean Claude who is eager to show Ariel how wonderful her new life will be.
We also have some nice updates to share:
Hard to believe it’s already been a year since we rescued Teru. He continues to be an amazing dog and valued, loved member of the family. And of course quite the show off for the camera
Many continued thanks. Still can’t believe how lucky we are to have found him!
We have all adjusted to the addition of Jordan and are doing well! We’ve spent a lot of time trying to teach Jordan how to play with humans. He’s not evenly remotely interested in fetching a ball when we throw it however he has figured out if he tosses the ball with his nose, one of us will chase it and toss it back. I think he has us trained!
Thank you for providing us with a great pet!
Aubrey FKA Aubree
Aubrey is doing perfect! She loves being a farm dog! She goes with me everywhere and loves playing with the other dogs on the property. She got a bit hot and started laying in mud pits so she got a little hair cut and looks like a black lab/squirrel mix as we left her tail! She’s extremely sweet and has become very very friendly and outgoing!
Shane FKA Sam
Just wanted to let you know that Shane (formally Sam), is doing great!! He quickly became part of our family. We have four sons, and Shane is outside with them all the time. We are so grateful that we found you guys in Pet Smart back in December. We didn’t plan on getting a dog that day but we are so glad we did. He completes our family!!
Thanks again TLC!
Riley FKA Bamm Bamm
Riley celebrated [his first adoptiversary] with a bit of turkey….thank you again for facilitating our adoption of him. He is so loved!
Leia FKA Rosie
Leia (formerly Rosie) is doing well. Here’s a recent picture with her bark box toys for this month. She is resting after a sleepover at Grandma’s playing with her uncle dogs. They wear her out. This is probably going to be my favorite picture of her.
Nova FKA Risa also sent some pictures from her first adoptiversary celebration
