Well, it’s officially Summer and it certainly feels like it. The kids are finally out of school and everyone’s getting ready for holidays, cookouts, Summer vacations and, of course, puppies!
We had some great pups meet fabulous families and know they will have some wonderful happily ever afters to share.
Patty was adopted and changed her name to Lola. We hear she’s doing great and that her middle name is Summer because her gotcha day was the day of the Summer Solstice.
She has not had one accident and sleeps through the night. She loves our other dog and they play constantly. She loves my children and walks well on a leash.
Also celebrating their adoptions this week were: Bonnie (now Shemma), Brad (now Bleys), Leliana, Lucy, Maisie, Nick, Regina (now Sasha), Robert, Toby, Varric & Wrangler (not pictured)
We also have some nice updates to share. Sweet momma Louise was one of the dogs featured on our Shelter Me segment and news of her impending TV debut reached some of her pups, who sent Louis some well wishes & pictures to show how big they’ve gotten
Rayne FKA Violet
We adopted her on April 30. She is now 3 1/2 months old and weighs 31 pounds. She’s potty trained and knows all her basic commands and now is moving on to her therapy training. Just wanted to say thank you so much. We love her to death.
Prince FKA Huckleberry
Here is our most recent photo of her pup Prince FKA Huckleberry.
Hope his mommy Louise makes a full recovery soon she’s in our prayers
Timber FKA Clover
Here’s one of her pups Timber (Clover) a few weeks ago…weighed in at 41 lbs Friday!!!
Of course, Louise’s pups aren’t the only ones who sent updates:
Daisy FKA Carrie
Hi TLC! It’s me Daisy (fka Carrie)! As you can see, I am quite the little rock star and live like a queen. This was earlier today hiking at Delaware Water Gap. I also started my Level II agility classes on Friday, my absolute favorite thing are the contact planks, I am always ‘adding’ them on at the end of my course. Our trainer calls me Velcro Daisy because I stick so close to my Mom and am so focused. And everyone agrees that I am just the sweetest girl, my Mom is super happy we found each other!
Miss Sassy is doing great, has put on weight, and loves running around the house and backyard with her buddy Newman!
Violet FKA Clover
This entire process is so amazing, all of the hard work the volunteers do and all of these families adopting these pups that need a home. Very thankful for TLC for giving us ours.
Siren is doing just great! She likes to be everywhere we are and go everywhere with us, especially if that means she can be outdoors.
Here is a photo of her “helping” Carl with some work and one of her outdoors on a walk.
Thought you would like to see how Seamus is enjoying summer. We got him a deck runner so he has somewhere to lay that won’t be too hot on his paws. Isn’t he adorable?
Paisley FKA Rache (Rachael’s litter from June 2015)
Paisley (formally known as Rache from the R litter last June 2015!) loves her “big sister” Lucy and loves coming to the barn with me. She’s the absolute best barn dog I could have asked for! Great with all the horses and just sits there quietly watching us all ride!
Paisley’s sister Roxie’s (FKA Raegan) mom saw the picture of Paisley and shared an updated picture of Roxie too
Libby FKA Lizzie (w/guest appearance from Willoughby FKA Willow)
Thank you for letting her come and live with us. She gives kisses and more and more eye contact all the time.
This was Lizzie’s first meeting with one of her new “aunt’s”…with Aunt Maggie on Sunday evening (photo with human in it). Her name is now Libby, cause she has pumpkin colors on her ears!!
Libby is settling in nicely….she loves rides in the car, and walkies, still worries about strangers, men especially, and actually not sure is is allowed to eat. That breaks my heart. She will eat if I sit with her, so I do.
Her newest best friend is Willoughby. They wear each other out!
Patches FKA Lowry
Patches (aka Lowry) is loving life!
