Millie & Ramsee

Millie & Ramsee

We admit it, we slacked and never posted last week’s update but we’re back with a pre-holiday puppypalooza update today.  Millie may have been the only girl in her litter but, in addition to her new human & cat brothers, she will now have 3 sisters! In addition to her 2 human sisters, Millie gets to share her gotcha day with her new puppy sister, Ramsee, who was adopted by the same family today.  While their family is still negotiating names, Raegan’s new family has settled on Roxie for her and litter mate Rache’s new name is Paisley.

In addition to the R girls and Millie, Rachael (mom the the R litter), Tater, Julie (now Trudy Louise), Sammy (now Trooper), Aaliyah (now Stella), Michaela, Carsyn (now Phoebe) & Lizzie are also happily living with furever families now too!

We also have a bunch of updates to share:

Hi TLC!

We wanted to give a brief update on Penny (fka Cynthia). We’re shocked that we adopted Penny almost 7 months ago, and we’ve loved every day since. She recently celebrated her first birthday on 5/25 (by devouring a Frosty Paws). Penny’s favorites include; running with other dogs at the park, chasing birds, riding in the car, and hosting company. We couldn’t ask for a better addition to our family. We’re so thankful for TLC!

Thanks for everything you do!

Echo is doing great!!! He’s absolutely perfect and we’re thrilled to have him as part of our family!!!

He’s growing fast, is completely house broken, loves people and tug of war is his favorite game, (he always wins). He’s an updated picture of our beauty!

Cali FKA Xavia

Cali (fka Xavia) is doing great! She has been such an amazing puppy, never chews anything or gets into any trouble. She’s very sweet, loves people (although a little shy at first) and other dogs. She is currently in obedience classes and is learning very quickly.  She is super smart and knows,  sit, stay, heel, place and down. We are hoping to introduce her to agility once she has mastered her obedience. Everyone that meets her comments on how pretty she is. We are thrilled to have her and love her to death!! I have attached a few pictures from when we adopted her until now.  We would love to hear updates on her littermates if you have them. I think a couple of them live in our area.

Maggie FKA Vivian

Adopting Maggie (formally known as Vivian) was the best thing we did as a family. She is a great dog. We couldn’t have found any better dog which at this point is not a pet, but a great addition to our family. Thank you all who foster and are involved with these animals you are all doing a great job.

Ginger FKA Sarah

Ginger FKA Sarah

Ginger FKA Sarah

I have been meaning to write to you, just to tell you how much we all love Ginger! She is the most tail-wagging dog we’ve ever met, and she loves to give kisses! She is very, very sweet with my 8 year old, and she ignores the cats altogether, which is fine with them. She always greets us at the back door when we return from the slightest errand, loves to sit (and roll) in the back yard, and is basically an extremely good-natured and mild-mannered dog. We actually hope that as she settles in, she gets a little bit naughtier, as we worry that she doesn’t have any bad habits!

Ginger had her first vet visit last week and seems to be doing well physically (they think the blind eye may be congenital, as they saw no real scarring that would suggest disease or injury). They said she needs to lose a little bit of weight, but that should get easier as she eases back into a regular walk regimen post heartworm treatment. She is still scared of the stairs, so I’ve been either sleeping on the couch to be near her or carrying her upstairs at night, but I imagine she’ll get over that with time. The speed with which she jumped (flew!) into the back seat of my car after her vet appointment suggests to me that she’s certainly physically capable! 😉

Anyway, thank you so much for helping us to find such a wonderful family member and for all of the work you do saving dogs like Ginger! Here are some pictures of her doing her favorite things at our house. I’ll certainly stay in touch and send more from time to time!

Rocky FKA Earl

Good morning TLC! 1 year ago today (6/22), Rocky (fka Earl) joined our family! Mike and I can’t believe that we brought him home at only 16lb and he’s now up to a nice 55lb J Thank you for all you do! We could not imagine life without him!

Eanna

Eanna

Eanna is doing very well….she and her kitty brother are often conspiring around the house and very playful with one another.

She’s topped off at about 32 lbs and while we are working with vet on her diet…she very much eats on her own schedule and is a little finicky….she is in no way short on energy and love. Overall, she is very healthy and the vet agrees but also wants us to try to increase her calorie intake and put on just a couple of more pounds.

Here is picture of her taken recently showing off her new flower that she is very proud of.

Whenever the time comes that we are looking to add to the fur family we will certainly be in touch.

Sophie FKA Oreo

Sophie is doing really well and is bringing us such happiness. She is very well behaved and just loves other people and dogs. We take her to visit my mother-in-law at an assisted living facility and she is a celebrity there. It takes me 15 minutes to get in and downstairs because of all the people that want to pet her and that she wants to greet. She has a best friend in my daughter’s dog and after a recent trip to Carlisle to visit them, she now “loves” the car. She goes everywhere with us. Sophie just loves chasing the hose water and playing in the sprinkler so she is having a great summer so far. Her other favorite activities, besides going for walks, are playing soccer and chasing the golf ball. We just love her and can’t imagine a life without her. She is growing like a weed and is now almost 26 lbs.

Mia FKA Jasmine

I wanted to reach out to you and thank you again for coordinating on Mia’s (formerly jasmine) adoption. This has been one of the best decisions I have made – I absolutely adore her and she and I have established an incredible bond. She is very popular in my neighborhood and my family loves her to pieces! So thank you so much for all of your help. Mia is a true blessing to me. I have attached a few photos – yes, as you can see, I have become “that Mom” who follows her baby around with a camera, trying to capture the most adorable photos J

Here are recent pics of some other TLC alumni too:
