It may be a night for glamorous Hollywood awards but we’re pretty sure that the pups celebrating their gotcha day this week are even more excited than the Oscar nominees. It’s been a long time coming for our girl Callie. She & her foster folks put a lot of love & hard work into socializing this shy girl and it finally paid off in the form of a wonderful & patient family that she already adores.
She’s not the only lucky pup celebrating getting adopted this week: Dillon (now Petey), Eddy, Fancy, Kirby, Leo, Peter, Phantom (now Murphy von Pimpton), Rummy, Sarah (now Kitt) & Wayne (now Ziggy) have also found their furever homes too!
We’ve already received some quick updates from Callie, Kirby & Murphy von Pimpton’s families to let us know they are all happily making themselves at home.
We also have some updates to share:
Rocky FKA Neal
Rocky (originally Neal) has been with us since September and he is now 48 lbs! He loves playing with other dogs and people and is the biggest cuddler. He LOVED hiking with us this weekend with the beautiful weather. Just wanted to send you an update and say thank you again
We decided to keep Bodie’s name and he is adjusting well to our lifestyle! His initial checkup at the vet went well and there were no major issues. We are continuing to monitor a little coughing situation that he has but we are not yet sure if it is an illness related issue or maybe just stress from getting acclimated to a new life. Bodie does well in the house, however, does not seem to like to be crated. He is much happier to have his run of a portion of the house to nap where he pleases. Aside from a few initial bathroom incidents, Bodie has been extremely well behaved and not touched anything that doesn’t belong to him. Bodie has quickly learned sit, down, stay, and play dead (if you have a treat). We are still working on his leash manners. He does well with other dogs and is extremely playful with all of the dogs we have encountered at the dog park. We are still unsure about cats since the only cats he’s managed to meet weren’t exactly the most welcoming to someone new on their territory. I look forward to keeping you up to date with more information as well as pictures in near future.
Thank you for everything
Clifford FKA Picford
We thought you would like an update on our Clifford. He was enjoying the wonderful weather and getting in some exercise yesterday at his first day at the beach. He is an absolute pleasure and has quickly become a part of our family. As you can see he has filled out a bit as predicted!
Baby recently gave her family quite the scare when it was discovered she had a mass on her spleen. We were all very relieved that she’s doing well post surgery and that the biopsy was negative.
Lola FKA Lanie
Hello!! Everything is going great. Lola is the absolute best!! We love her so much.
Copi FKA Christian
Copi’s doing great. House broken now. Loves to be petted and sleeps with us in our bed with our other rescue Daisy. He plays hard with Daisy and V lives to be outside running and swimming in the river. He’s such a sweet boy.
Love this boy so very much! And can’t even imagine what our lives were like without. He just has such an adorable personality!
We will stay in touch and keep you posted.
Izzy FKA Ally
She’s settling in pretty well – her and Tucker love to play together and the weather today is absolutely beautiful for that! She was having many many accidents inside (she pees A LOT) but those are getting much less frequent – either one per day or none at all. She’s been learning pretty quickly too! She sits for her food and waits until we say “okay” before starting to eat. She’s also learned how to shake. We haven’t quite mastered fetching balls yet, but I’m sure she’ll learn that pretty quickly too. She’s doing really well in her crate and makes it through the whole night (depending who you ask – 6AM is pretty good though, haha).
Oh, and we’ve renamed her Izzy – she’s still working on learning it though I think.
Opie FKA Gunner
He is all settled in and doing great! We changed his name to Opie. He is so cute and adjusted so quickly! We’ve taken him to the vet and he will be getting his vaccine boosters this week. I’ll make sure I update his name for the microchip company. Thanks so much for the training info!! I’m sure we will be utilizing those resources! Here are a few pictures of him in his new home!
June (we decided to keep her name…plus a few nicknames already!) is doing great! We are so happy to have her home with us.
June is adjusting well to being home, and while we are still working on a couple of things (such as potty training) — it is a joy to be with her … especially when she cuddles on the couch at night
Attached are a couple of pictures of June enjoying her new life! Thank you for bringing us together with her — we could not be happier!
Sophie FKA Oreo (Willow FKA Bindi’s pup from the 2015 cookie litter)
Just thought I’d send a photo of Sophie (formerly Oreo) on Valentine’s Day — our 2nd “Gotcha” Anniversary. As I’ve told you, we just love her so much and she brings us so much happiness! Thanks always for bringing her into our lives.
