The month of May made a spectacular arrival this week which made today’s Malvern Blooms Festival even more of a pleasure to attend. The pups enjoyed mingling, making new friends & are hoping that they, too, will soon be featured in our book of happy tails.
This week, though, the dogs writing “gotcha day” entries into their diaries were Bailey (not pictured), Destina, Shaggy (now Sonny), Silvester, puppy Simon, adult Simon & Ulysses (now Joey).
We also had some nice updates and pics to pass along:
Max FKA Kevin
April 26th my boy will be one year old !!!
The picture on the left is from July 13, 2014, the day I picked him up from you. The one on the right is from yesterday, Friday April 24, 2015. Wow, what a difference in size a year makes.
The last year has been one of the worst in my life ….. first losing my Lil Princess and cocker spaniel, Bianca in May 2014, losing my mom in January 2015, and plenty of things in between. But the best decision I made and the brightest light is when I got Max. He was “Kevin” when I got him from you but my best friend renamed him …. Maximillian Julius Davis. Quiet a mouthful !!! But it fits because he can also be quite a handful, but in a good way.
He’s a bundle of energy, that’s for sure. He’s a lover, not a fighter but he’s ste up to defend Daddy if he thinks I need it. He loves all other animals (although they may not love him) and just wants to say hi and play with all of my friends and family that visit. Most important, He loves Daddy and Daddy loves him right back. When my days are bad, he makes them good. And when they’re good, he makes them great. I couldn’t ask for a better furry child !!!
I didn’t know on July 13, 2014 how this would work out, but it’s been best decision I’ve ever made.
Thanks for all of your help ….. from acquiring Max, to handling the puppy issues I encountered, to being a source for the answers to the questions I had. Greatly appreciate it.
Hank FKA Ramsey
We did a DNA Test on Hank (formerly Ramsey) for fun and I wanted to send you guys the results!
Randolph and Hank (Ramsey) were brothers I think, so feel free to pass along to Randolph’s adopted family too.
It says that Hank is 50% Great Pyrenees, 25% American Staffordshire Terrier, and 25% Chow Chow. So, I guess no Lab mix. I can see the Great Pyrenees and a little bit of the Pitbull in his head shape and ears, but not the Chow Chow – thought that was a funny revelation.
So, all in all, he’s going to keep getting bigger and probably furrier J
Still a goofy puppy full of energy though!
Eddie is settling in well. We decided to keep his name as Eddie really seemed to suit him best. We recently received his DNA test and found out that he is an Amercian Staffordshire Terrier, Chow Chow, Tibetan Mastiff Mix and they anticipate his adult weight may be between 59 and 88lbs. We are working with a behavioral trainer on a couple of issues that we are looking to resolve before he gets bigger (displaying some fence aggression with the dog next door and also having some difficulty managing stress/fear). He is extremely smart and is a very quick learner and definitely wants to please so we are very hopeful that we will learn how to help him grow to be a confident and well balanced dog. We want to thank you and everyone at TLC for everything that you did for him and all of the dogs you provide a second chance to find their forever home. We want to stay involved with TLC and are probably not ready to foster any dogs but would definitely be open to other ways that we may be able to help so please let us know if there are ways that we can support the work that you are doing.
Blodwynn FKA Pizelle
Hi rescue angels, just giving you an update on Blodwynn who was born Dec. 9, 2014 at Laurie’s home in Exton, Pa.
Everyone loves her! She is very intelligent but still needs to come when called. Working on that.
Thank you so much for my beautiful puppy.
We also received an updated picture of Blodwynn’s brother Baxter (FKA Snickerdoodle).
