With so many outdoor charity events this week-end the weather was on everyone’s mind and, considering the cold front earlier this week, I think we were all surprised at how unseasonably warm it was today. Despite bundling up in the morning, we had a great time at West Chester Grower’s Market yesterday. Mr. Maximus even met his furever family there!
Also adopted this week were Sage (now Frodo), Aiden (now Cooper) & Roxy (now Tobee).
We had a nice week for updates:
Jeter FKA Grant
One of the best days of my life. Jeter FKA Grant is a true blessing!
Bella FKA Rosa
Bella (formerly Rosa) is doing well. She is a sweet, loving dog. Very affectionate. She absolutely loves to run, so there are many weekend visits to the dog park. She is extremely well socialized. Everyone that sees her says how beautiful she is.
I’ll have to send a pic with her in her new pink winter coat. It’s adorable.
Lucy FKA Celtic
We renamed her Lucy; she is the sweetest little girl and loves her walks and snuggling under the covers on a cold night. She has even learned to not chase our cats! She’s still a puppy, so she likes to chew things. I just have to remember to lock up my shoes and put the toilet paper roll way up high. She loves to play with her squeaky balls. During the day she hangs out with her Dad while he does “home improvements”. When I come home from work during the early afternoon we go for another walk and have a milk bone treat.
Anyway, I could go on all day about the beauty of Lucy….we will send you a pic asap.
Violet FKA Clover (aka Sophie) – Lucy FKA Celtic’s mom
Violet (Sophie/Clover) has been a wonderful addition to our family. She and our other dog Nala get along great! I really can’t believe how quick she adjusted to our family. She’s great with the kids and has an amazing personality.
Lily FKA Crystal
Lily (FKA Crystal) is amazing. She is about 40 pounds now and very energetic. She is a lover and loves to cuddle. I am beyond happy that I chose TLC to help us rescue a furever friend and family member. I am still so thrilled with the rescue and how it is operated. I constantly recommend TLC to everyone I know looking for a new member.
Lily loves to be outside and no stick is to big! She loves running and jumping. Although her energy level is slightly to high for most dogs, she does have some friends. We are still going to classes for her.
I am so happy to have added her to our family. She truly has made us so much happier!
Thank you so much for doing what you do and going above and beyond to check in on us.
Lucy FKA Bella Lou
Lucy FKA Bella Lou is wonderful. She is a wonderful addition to our family. Can’t wait to celebrate our first holiday season with her.
Tori (her only name) is doing great, she loves to watch birds in the trees and on the wires outside. Last week I watched her jump at a tree trying to get to a bird, but to her frustration, she could only jump so high and the birds mocked her by the continuous chirping high up in the tree. She loves when someone comes home from being out, by air jumping and getting the “rips” in the house. We are still trying to teach her how to clean up her toys, as she is well versed in taking every toy she has out of her toy basket. She recently went with us on a car trip to Columbus Ohio, and did very well with the car ride with no incidents. Tori continues to provide us with laughter and has begun to realize that if she snuggles up to us she stays warm as the weather get cooler. We could not have asked for a better dog, which leads to the question “who rescued who?” Thank you again TLC for providing us our pet as she has found her fur-ever home, because we can not imagine the house without her now.
Auggie FKA Cory
Our Auggie (formerly Cory) is almost grown up. He is now bigger than his big brother Boo. People see them together and think they are from the same litter. That may change as Auggie passes Boo in size. They are almost inseparable, but they are also very different. Boo is enjoying the coming cold weather; Auggie is not so fond. One thing they always agree on is that they each want the same toy at the same time. We have attached a photo of a now nearly full grown Auggie as well as some photos of the boys togther. We hope the companionship they demonstrate toward each other comes through. We are really enjoying the experience of seeing the two of them grow up together. Thanks again for connecting us with this Auggie.
Sadie FKA Gabby
We hear that Sadie is doing very well and enjoying her morning walks.
Quite a few of our alumni participated in today’s Bark For Life of Central Chester County. It’s always a great event and for a very good cause, and with many of our own volunteers having been directly impacted by cancer we were glad to know so many of our alumni & partners were on hand to help raise money. Even though the event is over, you can still donate via the Bark For Life website or the American Cancer Society website. If you love dogs and hate cancer, please consider participating in Bark For Life next year.
