Holy cow, it’s only 1 week until Miles For Mutts and we’re having a hard time containing our excitement! We’ve been busily distracting ourselves doing what we do best: playing matchmaker to find our dogs the best furever homes, and we’ve done pretty well with that this week.
Bessie was the first of Angeline’s fluffy, chubby pups to celebrate her gotcha day. Her mom’s already written to us to let us know how well she’s settling in:
Just wanted to say thank you again – she is such a smart and loving little girl. Still working on picking out a name. My daughter is coming home from college next weekend and hopefully more of her personality will come out and we will know what she wants to be called. Only one “accident” in the house / pretty impressive. Looking forward to playing this weekend.
Her litter mates Bandee, Baxter, Beatrice, Bentley, Butterball & Buttercup were adopted this week as well. Also celebrating their adoptions were: Autumn, Farris (now Sully), Haven, Paula & Shay.
We also have some pupdates to share:
Bowie FKA Mark
For sure the past 6 months have been an adventure! Bowie (fka Mark) has come a long way since he first joined our family. Housebroken ✔ Crate trained ✔ and his overall confidence has quadrupled, though he’s still the most persistent and destructive chewer we have ever seen. We’re still figuring out what will get through to him on that. He is also most affectionate snuggle-bug and bedhog you could ever want!
[editor’s note: we sent some tips on how to deal with chewing]
While things started off a little rough, Ace has become comfortable with his new home and family. All is going well. I’ll try to get a family picture but it will be difficult. Once we get on the floor with him, he knows it’s play time & won’t sit still.
Lexi Rose was in a pet parade in our town’s Fall Fest. She was a loofah sponge! She is doing great!
Those stinkin’ cute Yo pups had a family reunion last week-end and, from the looks of it they had a lot of fun together!
As we mentioned above, it’s only 1 week until Miles For Mutts . We’re not the only ones excited about it. One of Louise’s pups, Nellie FKA Ivy, is super-stoked and hoping to see her mom and litter mates at the event. If you have one of Louise’s pups, please make sure you stop by the Tobin’s Feed & Seed table to visit Nellie and her family! If you’re not registered yet, what are you waiting for? Online registration closes on September 21st!
