After being snowbound last week-end, the dogs were really happy to have the luxury to get out and meet some new people at today’s meet & greet (and, frankly, so were the rest of us). Luckily, we didn’t experience any additional bad weather to interfere with pups meeting families so we had a quite a few lucky dogs this week.
Miss Harley was one of the pups who started a new chapter of her life this week. Also celebrating a gotcha day this week were: Farrah, Floyd, Fran, Frasier, Fraya, Fuller, Spike, Trevor, Trip, Trixie & Wally
We received a few updates this week, including a personal visit from none other than Trudy Louise FKA Julie. Trudy brought her mom to the TLC Training & Adoption Center because her mom had written in to 6ABC’s Shelter Me program to tell them about their wonderful happy tail and help share the stories of some of TLC’s adoptables who are still looking their furever families. Trudy Louise & TLC will be featured on the show next week-end – we’ll provide information about dates & times for the show next week.
We also received some pictures & updates from some other alumni as well:
Denny’s mom sent a picture to show how he made the most of his snow days last week: playing Barbies with his sister
Gunnar FKA York
York is now named Gunnar and he’s doing very well in his new home!
Phoenix FKA Dakota
Phoenix (Dakota) still loves the snow!!
Gryffin FKA Festus
We renamed Festus – “Gryffin” . He has been the center of attention in our home & everybody is loving it. He is still very energetic, curious & protective. His only fault is that he likes to playfully bite, arms, butts (like when going up stairs & he’s behind you), he gets very excited & jumps up alot, especially when someone comes home! We have to get him out on the front porch immediately because he always pees in excitement! He is extremely handsome & gets compliments whenever he meets someone. He is pretty good with other dogs, but he is almost always lashed. He wants to play with other dogs more than they, usually. I walk him on a leash, early (6:00am) every morning, but he really needs to get out in open space to run more. He is extremely fast. If he gets loose, he can’t be caught! He comes back on his terms! I say because he knows who feeds him! He always runs to our neghbors house that has 2 dogs about his size, but they are much older & want nothing to do with him. All in all, we love him! The only problem is he has more energy than us.
Willard had a blast playing in the snow last weekend!
TLC alumni Belle FKA Bella, Coda (along with sister Oplatki, who fosters for TLC) & Harris celebrated training class graduation. All 4 dogs participated in a training course offered by TLC’s trainer & behaviorist, Jeri Wagner
