This was a fun & busy week for us as we participated in the Get Well Gabby Foundation‘s 3rd Annual Carnival For a Cure and spent the better part of today at Braxton’s Harvest Fest. We also got to hung out with the crew at Kirk’s Lawn Care who graciously agreed to be on the receiving end of a pie to the face and did an original rap for us thanks, in no small part, to Kirk’s customers & TLC supporters that donated more than $500 as part of Kirk’s charity challenge.
Kaleb, Michelob & Niko also celebrated getting adopted this week.
We also received a lot of wonderful updates from our alumni
Everything is going well with Bindi and we couldn’t be happier with how much joy she has brought to our little family. She was the perfect addition! Here are some pics.
Thank you again and keep up the good work!
Sammy FKA Randi
Sammy is doing great! We love having her. She fills her time by chasing groundhogs up trees (didn’t know that was possible) and digging holes. She’s pretty lazy actually, which is fine too 🙂
Gabriel is doing great. We love him so much. We decided to keep his name because it truly suits him so well.
Thank you again for selecting us to adopt Gabriel. He loves his new home and large backyard. Our neighbors have chickens and turkeys and he is just so amused at watching them in the morning
Baxter FKA Evan
He is so cute he looks like a stuffed animal!
We just love our new puppy! Baxter is a wonderful addition to our family!!
Zoe’s first adoptiversary
Zoe still brings us joy and when her little bow legs go running off, much laughter! She loves running down into our large backyard, sniffing out frogs, grasshoppers and leaves that look threatening to her on the way. She still corrals the cats and plays hide and seek with the one called Fat Alice. When we get company or the trash guys stop out front she grows at least 6’ tall to protect her castle; at least she does in her mind! She has charmed her way into bed and learned how to wiggle under the covers for the warmest spot. We love her…..
Thank you for caring about those who can’t care for themselves.
Missy’s first adoptiversary
I can’t believe it’s been a year already! Missy is doing well and getting along with her big brother, Gozer (chocolate lab pictured). Loves to run around in the backyard and can sit, shake and stand up (for a treat, of course!).
Looking forward to the coming years with my “forever friend” <3
Sadie FKA Cupcake
We adopted Sadie (formerly known as Cupcake) in March. She’s been such a wonderful dog!!!! Our son was 9 months old when we adopted her so of course his toys are spread out during the day but she never touches any of them. She loves him, if he is out of her sight for a period of time she checks him all over when he gets back, it’s so cute! He loves her just as much. We put an invisible fence in when we adopted her and she appeared to know exactly what it was so she was trained in the first week. The first two weeks were a little rough until she became secure with her surroundings here but after that it’s like she’s lived here all of her life. Initially when I would try to take her for a car ride she would hide and shake because she was scared but we were able to turn that around in 2 months and now it’s hard to keep her out of the car. She is really afraid of men so we’re still working on that issue but she’s coming along and we know it might never go away.
Sadie goes to daycare at least twice a week and the other days our nanny brings her dog with her so Sadie has a playmate. She’s a favorite at daycare, everyone asks me what breed she is, one girl even mentioned if another dog that looks like her comes through the rescue she would adopt him/her! I almost forgot to mention, we completed an adult one class in the spring which Sadie of course passed with flying colors!! I’ll attach a few pictures that we’ve managed to get over the last few months, she’s difficult to photograph because she either on the move or curious about the camera!
Raiden FKA Piggy (aka Fred)
We can’t believe that it has already been a year since we have rescued our Raiden (formally known as Piggy/Fred). He has been the perfect addition to our family & we thank you for all your assistance in helping us find him. I have included a few pictures from the past year. He is doing great & we love him so very much!
Piper FKA Jojo
We adopted Piper (formerly JoJo) from you in August 2014. She is doing great and is an absolutely fabulous dog.
Roxie FKA Raegan
She is doing awesome, she is such a good puppy & we love her so. Here’s a new pic of her…
Here are some more of the pics of these wonderful dogs living out their happily ever afters
