Another week-end is over and while we’re not psyched about going to the day job tomorrow, we can take comfort in knowing it’s a short work week with a sweet Thanksgiving holiday week-end. In addition to our meet & greet and adoptions this week-end, we also went to a screening of Dog By Dog which is a great documentary that illustrates, with facts, how people are actively & intentionally being mislead by puppy mills, dog brokers & the pet stores who sell puppies. The film will be in wide-release on streaming video early next year so, if you haven’t seen it yet, we’ll let you know how you can get your chance to see it soon. In
addition to more of the team getting to see the film, we also got to meet Victoria Stillwell, who is a great supporter of the cause, too!
Our pups will be taking a break from meet & greets over the holiday week-end, but you can still apply to adopt and we will be scheduling adoption appointments.
In the meantime, we have some happy tails to share! Our shy boy, Mayer, is very happy to be able to celebrate his first Thanksgiving with his new furever family – one that includes TLC alum Cody FKA Parnell, who will show Mayer the ropes. Also adopted this week were Bobbi, Hambone, Josie, VanGough, Vixen, Walter & Wendy!
We also have some updates to share:
Roma FKA Clarice
“Roma wishes you a happy holiday season!”
Oskar FKA Ewok
Happy 1st Furever Family Anniversary Oskar. Thank you guys so much for bringing this wonderful guy into our life, we could not imagine life without him
We feel so blessed. Happy Gotcha Day!!
Abby FKA Bessie (Angeline’s pup)
Abby has planted herself in our hearts! She makes us laugh daily. She has learned many tricks very quickly and loves her treat rewards. I hope her littler mates are bringing as much joy to their families/homes as well. Thank you again for all you do.
Sampson FKA Sebastian
“We love Sampson!! He is such an amazing dog, smart and so sweet. Here is a picture of him with one of his good friends, Peter!”
Kenya FKA Lori
Kenya (formerly known as Lori) is almost 10 months old and full of energy! I wish I knew where her siblings lived so we could have a puppy play date! We love her soooo much! Thanks for everything!
Prince FKA Huckleberry (Louise’s pup)
Our puppy Prince (FKA Huckleberry) from Louise’s litter is doing very well. He is still growing probably between 55-60 pounds now. He loves his home and parents very much. And we love how his ears change by the day based on his demeanor. He loves to go on runs with his daddy and play with other dogs. He would love to stay updated on his brothers and sisters and his mommy Louise’s recovery.
Archie FKA Onion (Louise’s pup)
Archie aka Onion is doing great and is spoiled rotten!
Nugget FKA Brinley (Walter & Wendy’s pup)
I cannot even begin to tell you how much joy my new little one has already brought to my family. When I was at the office and saw her grab Miss Puppy’s leash to pull her around, I said, “she’s smart.” But we didn’t know how smart…the first night we had a few accidents, but by the next day I let her out with my big Ladies, and she peed and pooped – and has done so since. Until today, Miss Puppy’s nose was out of joint, BUT today the two began racing around the yard and playing. The little imp is fearless! She likes being held, and when she wants “up,” she puts her paws on my leg and barks. Then after many, many kisses and a few nibbles, she curls up and goes to sleep. SHE IS JUST TOO PRECIOUS! Thank you for picking me to adopt this precious little thing!
We’ll post some tips to help keep your dogs safe for Thanksgiving before the holiday; if you have any questions before that, please feel free to contact us!
