It was a beautiful day today so we enjoyed being outside during our Meet & Greet at the Pet Supplies Plus in West Chester. The dogs all loved it – especially the puppies, of course. It was a nice, calm Palm Sunday as people were running errands preparing for the upcoming Passover holiday which starts Monday night, and Easter which will be next Sunday.
The rest of Ariel’s pups: Djali, Kovu & Meeko all found themselves celebrating their gotcha days this week. Little girl Djali, now Carli, is staying in the immediate TLC family having been adopted by the great couple that fostered her aunt, Winnie. Camo, Oscar & Snookie also found wonderful new families as well!
We have a bunch of pupdates to share as well:
“Simon is a year old! He’s been a pleasure and fun. Here he is taking in some TV. He seems to enjoy it too!”
Willa FKA Winnie
“Update from Willa (fka Winnie) has settled in nicely. She loves the baby and her and Phoenix get along great! My son thinks the world of her already. And she almost slept through the night waking up only once, she laid in a big fluffy puppy pillow bed right beside Phoenix. She ate a whole bowl of food last night and had no issues drinking from the same fountain bowl Phoenix does. And when served this morning and this evening no issues. Thank you so much for everything you have done. Willa certainly has found a furever home! She will be loved to pieces!! I will send pictures to update as soon as I can get the girls to sit next to each other and not roll over to show bellies and play.”
Arya FKA Rajah (Ariel’s pup)
“I decided to change Rajah’s name to Arya. We have a vet appointment schedule for Tuesday.
She is doing very well and has settled in nicely. She’s already learned sit and paw and has had minimal issues with house breaking so we are well in our way. She loves all her toys and big yard and chasing Teddy around.
Teddy was a little unsure of her Sunday band Monday morning but quickly warmed up and now is playing the protective big brother roll with no problem. He’s very patient with her even when she chews and crawls on him while he’s napping.
I have added some pictures and will continue to update you as she gets older.
Thanks for everything!!”
Louie (Ariel’s pup)
Things are going well with Louie. We kept his name. He doesn’t like his crate, but usually stops whining after about 5 minutes at night. He has been getting better and better and going potty outside. He had some bad diarrhea last night so we gave him rice to eat and he was better this morning. My other dog is really enjoying having a buddy again. They chase each other and tug of war all the time. I will try and get some pictures together and email you!
Jax FKA Rayne (Ziva’s pup) & Luna FKA Jasmine (Louise’s pup)
Jax (fka Rayne) from my house and Luna (fka Jasmine) from Luna’s house, still best buddies and next door neighbors!
Tucker FKA Theos
“Everything is going very well! Theos (now Tucker) is fitting in nicely and is making himself right at home. We do have a vet appointment scheduled for him for early next week. I’ll be sure to get you some pictures!”
“It’s been 2 weeks since we adopted Nala and we all couldn’t be happier! Thanks for helping us find our happy little puppy love!”
Joey FKA Ulysses
“Joey is doing great and thought I’d share a few recent pics of the handsome little guy. Hope to possibly get together with his brother Urv again when the weather gets nicer and now this time with his sister as well.
Keep up the great work!”
“Looks like mostly Chow Chow, American Eskimo Dog, and Lab… with a bunch of other breeds in the mix. Maybe that “other” mix is where she gets the shepherd coloring? I know she is 100% SWEET! She is doing great! So happy and friendly with everyone.”
Zelda FKA Matilda
“We are all really enjoying each other’s company, going on walks, and getting to know one another. She’s settling in well, it’s like she always been a part of our family. We did decide to change her name to Zelda.
She loves playing with us on our back yard with my daughter and her toys. She’s a sweet dog. I attached some pictures so you can see what we’ve up to.”
Mickey FKA Nemo
Mickey is just great. He is 55 lbs. Most importantly he is sweet, such a pleasant and fun dog. Our one year old granddaughter absolutely loves him.
We put a lot of time in with Mickey and it pays dividends in return. The Micker is all we hoped for and more, a wonderful addition to our family.
Thanks to TLC and especially to my friend Amanda who volunteers with TLC.
Huck FKA Luke
“Hi Jeanine and TLC,
Our boy is quite the character! Personality plus and loved to the moon and back! It’s been a very joyful year!!!!
Thank you for the work you all do.”
Utley FKA Bentley (Angeline’s pup)
Just got Utley’s DNA results!! Surprisingly, border collie wasn’t listed at all!! I have shared the email with the results with you. I’m not sure how to share just the certificate. It seems that Utley comes from a paternal side of pure bred Great Pyrenees and then mixed with Rottweiler and Staffordshire Terrier! The description of each breed fits Utley to a T!! Please feel free to share on the Facebook page for others who had adopted from the same litter
Utley’s mom, Angeline, now goes by Ruby. Her parents recently contacted us asking for a recommendation for a pet sitter and sent us their favorite picture of her.
Utley just graduated from his training class, scroll down to see the class picture.
Bodie FKA Riley
“Hi! Bodie is doing great, he had his first hair cut yesterday to get a little trim and he was such a good boy. He loves everyone especially my nephews and is always willing to give kisses and even hugs. He loves long walks and to play with all of his toys. He was even there when my fiance proposed last weekend!! When we adopted him i believe he was 18 lbs he he is now 54 lbs! We love him so much, Adopting him was the best decision we made. “
Finley FKA Marlo
“It has been a great year. She is doing well and has become a wonderful dog. Everyone loves her. I have attached some pictures of our adventures and normal days. Thanks again.”
Willa FKA Winnie
“Willa (Winnie) has settled in nicely. She loves the baby and her in Phoenix get along great!
Thank you so many chi for everything you have done. Willa certainly has found a furever home! She will be loved to pieces!! I will send pictures to update as soon as I can get the girls to sit next to each other and not roll over to show bellies and play. 😁”
Charlie FKA Peter
“Peter is now known as Charlie and is doing very well. Just wanted to send some pictures along of him and his new friends.”
A bunch of TLC alumni recently graduated from their training class with our very own Jeri Wagner
We hope you have a great week in store. Due to the Easter holiday, we won’t have a meet & greet next week-end but we will still be processing applications and scheduling adoptions throughout the week!
