Please note: Griffin & Maverick, who were featured in this segment, have been adopted

We’re so excited that we had to share the news! Trudy Louise’s mom shared her happy tail with FYI Philly on WPVI (channel 6) and TLC was featured on the Shelter Me segment airing February 13th on 6 ABC’s Action News. The segment will also run on FYI Philly at 7 pm & midnight.

Trudy’s mom’s post was:

This is little miss Trudy Louise (#trudylouise). we adopted her from To Love a Canine Rescue, Inc. in June. we have 3 dogs, who are all over the age of 8. because we know that unfortunately they won’t be around furever, it was time to add another puppy to our crew. we were in search of a puppy who would learn how to be a good dog from the others, and “carry the torch” on to our next generation. we sent out our application to a few local rescues, i searched through hundreds and hundreds of photos of puppies/dogs who were/are in need of furever homes  🙁 but i continually kept coming back to Trudy’s smiling “please adopt me” photo. even before meeting her — i just knew she was going to be the “perfect fit” for our crew. there was something in her eyes — she chose us — and she knew it too. then, I actually met her, brought her home, and it’s like it she’s always been a part of our family. we are furever grateful to #TLCescuePA (and all the other reputable rescues out there) for doing what they do in order to find these deserving puppies furever love.

You can share your happy tail, and help raise awareness of animal rescue, by going to the FYI Philly Facebook page and post a picture of your rescue pet with a brief description of why your adoption was special. Don’t forget to include the hashtag – #6abcShelterMe to help the Shelter Me team find your story.
