For the second year in a row, TLC’s Mini Paws junior volunteers are working saving a life themselves.  The Saving Southern Souls project is one in which the kids identify and select a dog on the “put to sleep” list at Darlington County Humane Society for TLC to pull.  The kids meet the dog at transport and the dog will be fostered by one of the Mini Paws family until he or she is adopted.  The kids don’t just identify the dog to pull, they also pay for all the shelter & transport fees,  spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations & other care costs so they held a Cold Treats 4 Hots Dogs fundraiser at the Rita’s Water Ice in Frazer today to raise money to pay the bills, and to raise awareness of rescue dogs in general.

In addition to raising money and telling people about rescue, the kids also got to introduce customers to TLC adorable adoptables Coda, Skittles, Jay, Columbus, Sammy, Skooter, Tigger & Apollo.
