It’s always a wonderful experience when a dog we rescued, most of whom were slated for euthanasia, is adopted but it’s an extra happy tail when that dog’s life has taken on the special job of assisting their human as a service dog. To Love a Canine Rescue, Inc. (TLC) is proud to work with local organizations that match rescue dogs to their clients and train them for these special roles. 

TLC dogs have already been trained to support local veterans, as well as people with medical or other issues through various organizations such as Train a Dog Save a Warrior (TADSAW) & Main Line Deputy Dog (MLDD).  When a dog is assessed as a match for a client of one of our partner organizations, the client submits an adoption application though our normal application process but TLC waives adoption fees for dogs adopted through this program.

A Deputy Dog performs tasks that help you function with increased independence and greater confidence.

Alpha Bravo Canine is a new local organization that provides dog training to U.S military veterans suffering from combat-related PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) for a qualified dogs for Assistance or full Service Dog
